To our Romanian and Bulgarian friends and colleagues in this House: this is your victory. You have worked so hard and for so long for this, and it is well deserved.

Dear colleagues, the European 合法博彩网站 stands in solidarity with the people of Georgia, who have taken to the streets of Tbilisi and across the country for two weeks now, peacefully and passionately calling for a European future, flying the EU flag as water cannons rained down on them.

To the people of Georgia: we see you, we hear you, and we stand with you.

This 合法博彩网站 firmly condemns the repression of the Georgian opposition and the use of force against peaceful protesters. These actions are incompatible with Georgia's EU path. We call for decisive action, including sanctions against those responsible for the violations, and we urge all 27 Member States to unite and reach an agreement on these measures.

We are discussing with her to see how best to do it 鈥� what format it would take 鈥� and in this regard, I would like to take the opportunity to thank our colleagues Sergey Lagodinsky, Rasa Juknevi膷ien臈, Nathalie Loiseau, Micha艂 Szczerba, Tobias Cremer, Reinier van Lanschot and Bernard Guetta, who undertook a mission to Georgia last week. Thank you to all of you. You witnessed first-hand the situation on the ground. Thank you for representing us. Dear colleagues, this session marks 鈥� many of you remember 鈥� six years since the terrorist attack in Strasbourg that took the lives of five innocent people and injured many others. Among the victims were two brave journalists who were part of the Europhonica team: Bartosz Niedzielski from Poland and Antonio Megalizzi from Italy.

Their legacy is one of unwavering commitment to our European values and even in their final moments, they displayed extraordinary courage in successfully preventing the attacker from entering a crowded area in the centre of Strasbourg. They are true European heroes, and I would like us to remember them, I would like us to honour them, as we thank them for what they did.
