SANT mission to ECDC
SANT subcommittee travelled to Stockholm from 28 to 29 October 2024 to visit the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). The delegation was composed of three Members: Elena NEVADO DEL CAMPO (EPP, Spain), Andr谩s Tivadar KULJA (EPP, Hungary), Marta TEMIDO (S&D, Portugal).
The aim of this mission was to gather information about the current and planned activities of the Agency. In addition, participating SANT Members wanted to obtain first-hand insight on measures to prevent and control communicable diseases, in particular what concerns the MPox crisis. Members also had the opportunity to discuss best practices for managing health crises and understand how epidemiological data is collected and used to influence public health policies in the EU.
