On 14 May from 15:00 to 16:15, together with the CONT committee, the FISC Subcommittee will invite Mr Fran莽ois-Roger Cazala, Member responsible of the European Court of Auditors (ECA) to present its the Special report 08/2025 on 鈥淰alue Added Tax fraud on imports 鈥� The EU鈥檚 financial interests are insufficiently protected under simplified import customs procedures鈥�.
On 8 April 2025, CONT Members exchanged views on a study on "Methods in the ECA and the Commission to estimate the level of error in EU expenditure".

On 7 April 2025, the ECA Special Report 09/2025 "Systems for ensuring compliance of RRF spending with public procurement and state aid rules" was jointly presented to Members of the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) and the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) by reporting ECA Member Jorg Kristijan Petrovi膷.
