Eurojust Regulation (EU) 2018/1727 makes a provision for organization of regular annual exchanges with the president of Eurojust on the Annual programme and substantial developments regarding the activities of the agency on EU judicial cooperation with European and national parliamentarians. This was the core focus of this meeting which took place on 30th November 2022.
Besides the regular exercise in evaluating agency's activities, it was also a chance for the Members of national and European parliament to exchange with Eurojust representatives about the reinforced mandate of Eurojust in supporting the collection and sharing of evidence relating to core international crimes. This year was also symbolic in nature as Eurojust celebrated 20 years of its existence and offered an opportunity to reflect on the experience it has gained in supporting of the cooperation in criminal justice within the EU.
