IMCO held a public hearing on the safe internet use for minors. Industry stakeholders, consumer associations, national enforcement authorities, experts on children鈥檚 rights, data protection authority and the European Commission have all participated.
Discussions focused on the various issues that minors face as vulnerable consumers when it comes to social media use and engagement with online tools. The hearing also delved into the implementation of the EU rules called the Digital Services Act, for the protection of minors in the digital space.
