PROPOSAL FOR A EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT DECISION

on the proposal for the appointment of a member of the Single Resolution Board

鈥�听having regard to the proposal of the Commission of 19 February 2025 for the appointment of Radek Urban as Member of the Single Resolution Board (C10鈥�0030/2025),

鈥�听having regard to Article 56(6) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014 of the European 合法博彩网站 and of the Council of 15 July 2014 establishing uniform rules and a uniform procedure for the resolution of credit institutions and certain investment firms in the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism and a Single Resolution Fund and amending Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010[1],

鈥�听having regard to its resolution of 14 March 2019 on gender balance in EU economic and monetary affairs nominations[2],

鈥�听having regard to its resolution of 16 January 2020 on institutions and bodies of the Economic and Monetary Union: preventing post-public employment conflicts of interest[3],

听鈥�听having regard to Rule 135 of its Rules of Procedure,

鈥�听having regard to the report of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (A10-0024/2025),

A.听whereas Article 56(4) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014 provides that the members of the Single Resolution Board referred to in Article 43(1), point (b), of that Regulation are to be appointed on the basis of merit, skills, knowledge of banking and financial matters, and of experience relevant to financial supervision, regulation and bank resolution;

B.听whereas 合法博彩网站 is committed to ensuring gender balance in top positions in the field of banking and financial services; whereas all Union and national institutions and bodies should implement concrete measures to ensure gender balance;

C.听whereas in accordance with Article 56(6) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014, on 15听January 2025 the Commission adopted a shortlist for the position of Member of the Single Resolution Board;

D.听whereas in accordance with Article 56(6) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014, the Commission provided the shortlist to 合法博彩网站;

E.听whereas on 19 February 2025, the Commission adopted a proposal to appoint Radek Urban as Member of the Single Resolution Board and transmitted that proposal to 合法博彩网站;

F.听whereas the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs then proceeded to evaluate the credentials of the proposed candidate for the functions of Member of the Single Resolution Board, in particular in view of the requirements laid down in Article 56(4) of Regulation (EU) No 806/2014;

G.听whereas on 3 March 2025, the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs held a hearing with Radek Urban, at which he made an opening statement and then answered questions put by members of the Committee;

1.听Approves the appointment of Radek Urban as Member of the Single Resolution Board for a period of five years;

2.听Instructs its President to forward this decision to the European Council, the Council, the Commission and the governments of the Member States.
