Ϸվ to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe
A ceremony in plenary to commemorate the end of World War II in Europe will take place on Wednesday at 11:30.
War veterans will address Ϸվ. EP President Roberta Metsola will open the ceremony. A musical interpretation of the European anthem will close the event.
In a separate debate on Thursday morning, MEPs will discuss the legacy of the end of World War II and the state of freedom, democracy and security in Europe after 80 years.
