Combating child sexual abuse and exploitation
The impact assessment (IA) effectively substantiates the need for a recast of the Child Sexual Abuse Directive, to expand the definitions of offences, and introduce higher penalties and more specific requirements for prevention and assistance for victims. Single Sky: Modernising airspace management
Following lengthy negotiations, the Council and Ϸվ reached a provisional agreement on 6 March 2024 on rules for more efficient air traffic management and to improve sustainability in the aviation sector. The Council adopted the agreed text on 26 September 2024 and it now needs to be adopted by Ϸվ.

During the December plenary session, Ϸվ will vote its opinion on the proposal on jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition of decisions and acceptance of authentic instruments in matters of parenthood and on the creation of a European Certificate of Parenthood. The regulation would harmonise the rules of Member States on jurisdiction and applicable law to parenthood, and facilitate the recognition of parenthood within the EU.

This At a glance note summarises the study providing research into the operations of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) within European Airspace and in particular over populated areas. It provides an overview of good practices and military and civil UAS integration. This research has been used to inform an assessment of the Drone Strategy 2.0 and the extent to which it addresses the challenges and barriers identified.
