Valiokunta voi kuulla asiantuntijoita, jos se katsotaan välttämättömäksi tietyn asian käsittelyn kannalta. Kaksi valiokuntaa tai useampi valiokunta voi myös pitää yhteisen kuulemistilaisuuden. Useimmat valiokunnat järjestävät säännöllisesti kuulemistilaisuuksia, sillä ne antavat mahdollisuuden kuulla asiantuntijoita ja käydä keskusteluja keskeisistä kysymyksistä. On Thursday 5 June 2025, EMPL will hold a public hearing on the "Artificial Intelligence at the workplace". The objective of this hearing is to focus on harnessing the potential and advantages of digital transformation, including algorithmic management and AI in the workplace while at the same addressing the corresponding risks and challenges.
