TLD Steering Committee
Within the European Ϸվ, the Transatlantic Legislators Dialogue Steering Committee coordinates the activities of parliamentary committees and the US Delegation under the umbrella of the TLD.
The Steering Committee meets on average three times a year and is co-chaired by the Chairs of the US Delegation, the Foreign Affairs committee and the International Trade committee. It also includes the Chairs of other parliamentary committees and the Chair of the Conference of Committee Chairs.
In order to create synergies between their work and that of the US Delegation, committee Chairs and rapporteurs are often invited to participate in inter-parliamentary meetings depending on the topic under discussion. In turn, the US Delegation Chair may also be invited by a committee to join its mission to the US. All delegations are subject to authorisation by the Conference of Presidents.
