This Briefing, published by the European ºÏ·¨²©²ÊÍøÕ¾ary Research Service, is designed to provide key facts and figures about the European ºÏ·¨²©²ÊÍøÕ¾, both in the 2014 to 2019 parliamentary term now drawing to a close - and in the seven previous terms since direct elections were introduced in June 1979.
